ACEW was invited to partner with the Gender Investment Gap (GIG) project to collect data from venture capital funds operating in Aotearoa. In 2025 ethics approval was obtained from the University of Auckland to conduct this data collection. Twenty funds voluntarily supplied investment data. We are very appreciative of this: there is no research without their participation.

ACEW looks forward to continuing to work with the GIG team. In addition, we are exploring further research opportunities to better understand the challenges women entrepreneurs face when funding their ventures.
